Agoda.com, one of Asia’s leading hotel booking sites and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group (Nasdaq:PCLN), today announced executive changes.

Agoda.com announced the promotion of John Wroughton Brown to Chief Operating Officer of Agoda Company Pte. Ltd., effective immediately. Mr. Brown has been with Agoda.com for four years. He previously held the position of Chief Product Officer. In his new role, Mr. Brown will take on additional oversight of Agoda.com’s worldwide marketing and supplier operations, reporting to Robert Rosenstein, a co-founder of the company and its Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Brown holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School. “John Brown has been instrumental in building the organization and infrastructure that powers Agoda.com’s systems, workflows, and products,” said Mr. Rosenstein. “Agoda.com today is an online hotel reservations company that spans over 25 countries and continues to scale. I look forward to working with John in this new role.” Previously, Mr. Brown was a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group in Boston and Bangkok, as well as economic advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry for the Government of Afghanistan.

Agoda.com also announced the promotion of Omri Morgenshtern to Vice President of Product Development, reporting to Mr. Brown.

Mr. Morgenshtern joined Agoda.com in April 2014 as Senior Product Owner, Algorithms and Learning Systems. “Omri’s passion for data, developing great people, and building world-class products online makes him a great choice to run Agoda’s product development,” said Mr. Rosenstein. Mr. Morgenshtern was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Qlika, an award-winning UpWest Labs start-up. Earlier, Mr. Morgenshtern served as major in the technological unit of the Israeli army, where he was also a section leader for IT research and development. He holds a B.Sc. in physics, mathematics, and computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an M.Sc. in physics from Tel Aviv University.
