Madison, WI (PRWEB) November 24, 2014

As snow and freezing weather set in for the season, Genins AutoCare is running a series of sales and discounts on vehicle winterizing services, including tire replacements and vehicle inspections.

“It’s the time of year to slow down on the roads, have good tires on your car and make sure it’s generally in tip top shape,” said Rick Genin, Genins AutoCare owner.

The shop has been focusing on winterizing services since mid-October, and most of the business it has seen thus far has been for tire replacements.

“A lot of people don’t have a clue about what kind of condition their tires are in. Living in a four-seasons climate can take a toll on your car,” Genin explained. “Different tires are needed to not only stay safe, but to prolong the life of your vehicle.”

In particular, Genin is urging parents to get winter tires and inspections for the cars their kids drive, since young drivers have less experience driving in rough conditions and are more likely to have accidents than drivers in any other age group.

“Knowing that your son/daughter is in a fully, professionally inspected car with winter tires will be less stressful for the whole season,” he said.

Genins AutoCare is offering three levels of inspections. A basic inspection is included with an oil change free of charge. The next level up is a seasonal inspection, which includes actually removing the wheels. The most comprehensive inspection is the 119-point inspection that is, in Genin’s words, “the equivalent of an annual physical for cars.” It’s designed to reveal anything that could be wrong with the vehicle, from electrical issues to mechanical problems.

“This will greatly reduce the risk of having a flat tire, getting into accidents or even your vehicle simply not starting,” Genin explained.

The shop’s top priority, Genin emphasized, is to make sure that students and community residents in the Madison area are safe, which is why the company — which has been located in the same spot for 22 years — regularly donates to local schools and fundraisers, such as the Queen of Peace School Endowment, the Memorial High School Athletic Fund, and the Ronald McDonald house, among others.

“Changing to winter tires and making sure you have the right air pressure and a working heating system could end up saving your life,” he concluded.

The shop’s head technician, who has been with the company all 22 years, is a 14-time NAPA-ASE regional technician of the year.

“We have an incredible staff, location and reputation,” said Genin. “We will do anything to help our customers.’
