Cade Foundation will host a free outreach seminar on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 entitled “Different Pathways Towards Parenthood: OVERCOMING infertility.” This event will take place at the Jericho Public Library, located at 1 Merry Lane, Jericho, NY 11753 from 1-3PM. An expert panel of professionals will be speaking on how they help support people with infertility and info about the different ways people can become parents. The speakers will include: Dr. David Kreiner (a fertility doctor at Long Island IVF;) Carolyn Berger, LCSW (a therapist specializing in infertility and adoption;) Attorney Amy Demma; Jim Vitale, LAC (acupuncturist at Suffolk County Acupuncture;) and Timothy Sutfin, (adoption expert at New Beginnings Adoption Agency.) The foundation was named after founders’ (Dr.s Jason and Camille Hammond) mother, Dr. Tinina Cade who carried and delivered the couples triplets at 55 years old, making her the oldest woman to deliver grand-triplets at that point. The Cade Foundation’s Family Building Grants offer up to $ 10,000 to provide financial assistance to help others pursue fertility treatment or adoption. The current application cycle is open and will end on June 1st, 2014. To date, the Cade Foundation has hosted hundreds of outreach events throughout the U.S. and provided 43 families with financial support for adoption and fertility treatment.
