“I am excited to use our Rally fundraising platform to help support this amazing organization, said BG Capital Group Chairman Bobby Genovese and co-founder of the Car and Boat Rally events, which began in 2008 and have since generated more than $ 15 million for the Hospital for Sick Children.

“After the incredible success of both our car rallies in Toronto and Nashville, TN and our boat rallies in Muskoka, Ontario, we are excited to extend this proven fundraising platform to organizations and cities throughout North America to make a real difference in kids’ lives. The Life Ready Foundation is just one example of how we can strengthen their work helping at-risk youth build strength, endurance, and confidence by creating a high intensity, competitive environment, which keeps youth focused and driven to become stronger — something we can all feel good about supporting.”

The Rally begins on Friday, May 29 at the city’s Cactus Club Café in Coal Harbour with “The Qualifiers” Celebrity Draft cocktail reception where Rally Drivers meet and recruit their desired Celebrity Navigator while enjoying great food and cocktails. The premium drafting positions will be determined based on the amount of dollars fundraised. With drivers and positions decided, the following day begins with a “Start Your Engines” brunch at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, which also serves as the event’s starting line. Media will have the chance to interview drivers and celebrity navigators before they depart to various secret “pit stop” locations throughout Vancouver. Participants will have received a driver’s “manual” filled with maps, tips and their first clue before embarking on an extraordinary schedule of pit stops at some of the most renowned establishments and venues throughout Vancouver. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet some of the youth that the foundation supports along the way.

The final destination of the rally is the “Winner’s Circle,” a star-studded gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel for drivers, celebrities, sponsors and invited guests to enjoy a fabulous dinner with award-winning entertainment and live auction items.

Life Ready provides an opportunity for at-risk youth to have a safe, positive, consistent place to develop self-confidence, a sense of belonging, a sense of family, and a sense of team through programs that can engage all youth regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity or socio-economic status.
