Studio Z Dental, the Premier Green Dentist for the Front Range, Introduces the Use of Buffered Anesthetic for Patient Comfort at Their Dental Office in Louisville, CO

Louisville, CO (PRWEB) April 15, 2015

Since 1981, Studio Z Dental has been offering the best dental services to the Louisville area and has been established as the Premier Green Dentist for the Front Range. Studio Z Dental is one of the few dentists in the Boulder area offering mercury-free and mercury-safe holistic dentistry and family cosmetic dentistry. Their services include everything a traditional dentist’s office would offer, including dental implants, lumineers, teeth whitening, and veneers, as well as an established reputation for excellence and care.

Dr. Tom Zyvoloski, DDS has been voted top dentist by the Consumers’ Research Council and Studio Z Dental has been recognized as one of the most conscious and innovative in the area because of their attention to detail and dedication to holistic dentistry services. Studio Z Dental has worked hard to provide the very best working conditions for their staff and unparalleled service for Boulder Valley patients.

In line with their goals of offering more than the average dentist and providing their patients with a number of treatment alternatives, Studio Z Dental has emphasized minimizing pain and maximizing happiness. Their innovative services have recently been expanded to the use of buffered anesthetic for patient comfort.

Buffered anesthetic is commonly used in medical procedures and causes far less pain than typical injections given at most dental offices. The sting, pinch and soreness at the injection site is typical with traditional local anesthetic, but with buffered anesthetic, patients can expect to leave the office with minimal tissue soreness when the anesthetic wears off.

This is achieved by mixing the anesthetic with a buffering agent, which neutralizes the pH, thereby eliminating the pain — a matter of simple chemistry that adds to the comfort of the patient’s experience. Additionally, buffering anesthetic also delivers immediate numbing and much-reduced post-injection tissue injury. After experiencing the benefits of buffered anesthetic, patients can now look forward to future visits without the common dread so many people commonly associate with their dentist appointments.

Louisville, KY Residents Are Encouraged to Take Advantage of Dental Hygiene Month by Visiting Dr. Reid Nelson and Dr. Doug Lowy for Laser Gum Surgery to Treat Gum Disease

Louisville, KY (PRWEB) October 15, 2014

This October is Dental Hygiene Month and Dr. Reid Nelson and Dr. Doug Lowy, periodontists with Nelson & Lowy PSC, are honoring the occasion by educating their Louisville, KY patients on gum disease and the new, innovative laser gum surgery option that they can undergo to treat the condition. The LANAP® protocol is an FDA-cleared gum surgery that can remove infected tissue and help restore the bond between teeth and supporting tissue.

Gingivitis is the first stage in periodontal disease. It is caused by a buildup of plaque around the gum line, which can cause the gums to become inflamed and bleed easily. Gingivitis progresses to become a more serious form of gum disease known as periodontitis. In this stage, the fibers and bone that support the tooth structure are slowly and irreversibly damaged. Bacteria infected pockets form along the gums, and gum recession causes gaps to become visible between the teeth. Without treatment, patients usually develop advanced periodontitis, where the damage to the supportive bone becomes so great that teeth can loosen and fall out.

Periodontal disease can also cause dangerous health problems throughout the body. There is a well-established link connecting untreated periodontitis to heart disease. To keep their risks of developing heart disease low, Dr. Nelson and Dr. Lowy recommend that their Louisville, KY patients undergo the LANAP® protocol, a laser gum surgery used to treat gum disease. During the procedure, the doctors simply place the tip of the PerioLase®MVP-7™ laser inside a patient’s periodontal pockets. The laser targets and removes only infected tissue and bacteria, so it results in little pain and discomfort and most patients experience minimal bleeding. Once the area is free of disease, the doctors clean the tooth’s root surface using ultra-sonic scalers and then use the laser to stimulate the tissue to reattach to the tooth.

Patients in Louisville, KY can take advantage of Dental Hygiene Month with Dr. Nelson and Dr. Lowy by learning about proper dental hygiene practices as well as laser gum surgery treatment options available today. Interested patients can learn more by visiting the doctors’ website or call the office to set a consultation appointment.

Your Mother was Right When She Gave You These Three Dental Tips, Louisville Dental Cosmetics Authority Dr. Ronald Receveur Says

New Albany, IN (PRWEB) September 23, 2014

Louisville dental cosmetics authority Dr. Ronald Receveur is urging the public to follow three tips that they probably heard from their mother – and may be ignoring.

“While there are plenty of persistent dental care myths,” Dr. Receveur said, “family dentists have been training mothers for decades on how to give their kids good oral hygiene.”

As adults, many people get away from three tips they probably heard from their mother:

1. “Brush after each meal.” This is good advice, but it comes with a caveat, the New Albany cosmetic dental clinic proprietor said. Don’t brush too soon after eating, or you can wear away your tooth enamel. Wait about an hour to brush.

2. “Don’t forget to floss.” Brushing only covers a little more than half of your teeth’s surfaces, Dr. Receveur said. Flossing removes food particles between teeth and under the gum line. When food gets trapped in those spaces, problem-causing bacteria can explode and ultimately lead to gum disease.

3. “Don’t skip dental visits.” Just because nothing hurts doesn’t mean nothing is wrong, Dr. Receveur said. Those patients who wait to visit the dentist when they notice a problem have only compounded that problem – and the cost of fixing it, Dr Receveur said.

“So while you may never have poked your eye out running with a pencil, had your face stuck into a crazy expression or hurt your eyes from sitting too close to the television, Mom was right on these three,” the New Albany dentist said.

Dr. Receveur, who practices in New Albany, Ind., across the Ohio River from Louisville, Ky., is an affordable dentist who offers Louisville cosmetic dentistry services and general dentistry such as teeth cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, teeth whitening and veneers.

Dr. Receveur also is an expert in more advanced implant dentistry like All on Four dental implants, All on Six dental implants, mini dental implants, One Day Smile Solution, dental implants in one hour, bone grafting and sinus lifts, all with IV sedation dentistry.

Dr. Receveur offers a five-year warranty on all cosmetic and prosthetic work.

Dr. Receveur, a New Albany native, has been the family dentist of choice for Southern Indiana and Louisville since 1981.

Dr. Receveur was born with a partial cleft palate that left him with a missing front tooth. As a child he “wore an awful removable partial.” As a teenager, Dr. Receveur received a permanent bridge, but his dentist destroyed one of his healthy, natural teeth in the process. These dental experiences helped drive him to find better dental solutions for his patients.

Dr. Receveur graduated from Indiana University Southeast with honors in chemistry, after which he earned his doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Receveur has attended more than 5,000 hours of postgraduate training and even gone to Portugal to study with the best dentists in the world. He has been awarded numerous advanced certifications in Implant, Sedation, Comprehensive, Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry so he may provide the most current dental techniques to his Louisville and New Albany dental patients.
