Houston, Texas (PRWEB) December 05, 2014

Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) today announced the addition of the 1600XPi Series uninterruptible power system (UPS) to the single-phase UPS product offering. The 1600XPi Series is the latest single-phase UPS designed by Toshiba to meet growing demand in the information technology (IT) and retail markets. The 1600XPi Series is an extension of the existing 1600XP Series single-phase UPS and is manufactured at the TIC headquarters in Houston, Texas. Sizes range from 3.6 to 22kVA.

“The new 1600XPi Series combines the convenience and functionality of the 1600XP with the sleek aesthetics increasingly preferred by our customers,” said Greg Mack, Vice President and General Manager of the TIC Power Electronics Division. “IT businesses and retail centers now have a new option for clean and uninterrupted single-phase power backed by the legacy of reliability and quality provided by Toshiba.”

Available exclusively in black, the 1600XPi Series ensures clean power, no power interruption in the event of a power outage, color match, and is compatible with 19” server racks. The tower design solution with LCD touch-screen display provides unmatched access for UPS monitoring and control. As a double-conversion online UPS the 1600XPi accommodates large input voltage deviations without resorting to battery backup. Additional attributes include hot-swappable batteries, isolation transformer, and an output power factor of 0.85.

The new RemotEye® 4 UPS monitoring solution also is included, keeping users up-to-date on the status of their UPS installation(s). RemotEye 4 features include customizable dashboard with UPS home groups, as well as automatic updates and email alarm notifications. Communication protocols supported include Modbus TCP & RTU, BACnet IP & MSTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SNMP. The Environmental Monitoring Device and the RemotRadar® software are among the available options.
