The event will feature a keynote address from Dr. Milton Mintz, VNA’s Medical Director, and live musical performances. Light refreshments will be provided. The tradition is held each year to honor and remember loved ones who will be missed during the holiday season.

After the public Tree Lighting Ceremony, invited guests will attend a Wine Tasting & Reception in the VNA headquarters building, featuring, unique selections of wines, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction items and live entertainment. Tickets are $ 50 per person. All proceeds from the event benefit the VNANNJ Foundation.

No advance registration is required for the public tree lighting. For more information or to purchase tickets for the Wine Tasting Reception, please contact Amanda DeFelice at (973) 451-4169 or email adefelice(at)vnannj(dot)org.

“This event has become a wonderful VNA tradition that brings the community together to celebrate family and friends and remember those who are no longer with us,” said CEO Faith Scott. “It’s one of numerous seasonal activities we undertake each winter. In fact, the festive holiday season can actually be a time of sadness and stress for the homebound and those who serve as their caregivers. Our VNA has been lending a helping hand by delivering comfort and encouragement year round for more than 116 years.”

Visit Web Memorials to create a meaningful and lasting remembrance to honor a loved one. The opportunity to create a Web Memorial is available throughout the year. Donations support VNANNJ programs and services that provide direct care for the greater Morris area community.
