Clearwater FL (PRWEB) December 01, 2014

Supply chain software developer Datex recently announced a new workflow-based feature of their Datex FootPrint WMS that enables seamless integration with third party hardware and software.

Built on top of Microsoft’s Workflow Foundation, a new set of custom Workflow Activities allow the orchestration of essential work such as printing labels, moving carousels and other tasks involving 3rd party hardware or software. The new workflow activities can be used to integrate with a wide variety of third party systems including material handling, printers, and other devices.

Datex FootPrint WMS includes an advanced workflow engine which enables clients to customize business processes within the warehouse management system without the need to write code or using proprietary scripting languages. Business processes for each customer are outlined in diagrams and then configured using the workflow engine. Because developers are not needed to make alterations to source code, businesses can save on professional fees. Internal technical resources can be trained to make alternations to workflows.

The new workflow capability will be included in the latest version of the Datex FootPrint WMS.
