San Fernando, CA (PRWEB) June 30, 2014

Califone International, Inc., a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of audiovisual (AV) and supplemental curriculum products for use in education, launches new Common Core State Standards tools at the 2014 ISTE Conference and Expo. The tools include Listening First Headphone and Headsets, Ear Buds, the PresentationPro Speaker and the 901 Wireless Headphone.

“Students need equipment that has evolved to help them prepare for the Common Core standards,” said Tim Ridgway, vice president of marketing for Califone. “We designed these tools to work with a multitude of devices so teachers and students can utilize a full range of Common Core learning and assessment materials.”

Listening First Headphone and Headsets now include three black models featuring plugs compatible with a range of devices so that students can use a variety of resources. The headsets have a noise-cancelling microphone ideal for verbal response portions of Common Core assessment, such as language learning tests.

Shown for the first time at ISTE will be the E2 and E3 Ear Buds. The portable listening devices are popular for English language arts/literacy and by students who need them for accommodations (such as text-to-speech) in the mathematics testing assessments.

Launching at ISTE, the 901 Wireless Headphone facilitates student listening activities on computers, tablets and mobile devices. The 901 is adjustable, communal and offers multiple listening options. Students can access audio by plugging a wired headphone into the 901, and an unlimited number can listen to a single transmitter within a 20-foot range. Listening options include FM, wireless transmission and digital audio from a microSD card.

PresentationPro speaker is the first designed PA to play audio from mobile devices (including smartphones & tablets) as well as netbooks, notebooks, laptop & desktop computers, interactive whiteboards and more. The speakers can now be controlled with a remote, and easily attach to a tripod for augmented projection. The speakers are the most widely installed in the United States, and are capable of amplifying sound from a single computer to an audience of up to 350 students.

Califone is committed to providing products that support the speaking and listening portion of the Common Core English Language Arts anchor standards. For more information on the full line of Califone products, and to view and download the entire Califone catalog, visit http://www.califone.com.
