Dave Wortman, chairman and CEO of Diagnotes, has announced the appointment of five new healthcare and information technology experts to join Alan D. Snell, MD, MMM, on the company’s advisory council.

The five new members of the advisory council are:

Howard D. Silverman, M.D., M.S., professor and chair of the Department of Biomedical Informatics at The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Purdue University in mathematics and German, Dr. Silverman earned a master’s degree in computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he specialized in artificial intelligence applications in medical decision-making. His medical degree was conferred at Stanford University of Medicine, and he holds board certification in Family Practice and Clinical Informatics.
Donald E. Brown, M.D., chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Interactive Intelligence. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the company’s 2,000 employees worldwide serve organizations with call center software, unified communications, business process automation and cloud solutions. A successful entrepreneur, Dr. Brown co-founded two other successful software companies prior to Interactive Intelligence, both of which were acquired by major public companies. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, after receiving a master’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Indiana University.
Traci Dolan, board member of Steel Dynamics (NASDAQ), member of the board of directors of the Central Indiana Community Foundation and also the Exact Target Foundation. Ms. Dolan brings her acknowledged financial, administrative and technology experience to the Diagnotes Advisory Council. Having served as chief administrative officer and as chief financial officer of ExactTarget, she led the successful process of taking the company public. The company was listed on the NYSE prior to being acquired in 2013. She was named “Financial Executive of the Year” by the American Business Awards, and both CFO of the Year and a “Woman of Influence” by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
Michael Mote, executive business consultant with more than 40 years of experience including more than 25 years in healthcare. Mr. Mote has served in senior and executive level management positions for more than 30 years including serving in roles as chief operating officer, chief information officer, chief security officer, vice president of product and service development, and vice president of operations for a number of healthcare-related organizations. Additionally, he has held executive positions in or served as a senior adviser to several healthcare information technology software companies involved in the development and sales of applications such as identity and security management, personal health records, point-of-care decision support, data management and practice management.
Samuel L. Odle, senior policy adviser for Bose Public Affairs Group and one of several former lead executives responsible for the merger of Methodist Hospital of Indiana with the hospitals of the IU Medical Center. Mr. Odle is a former hospital CEO and chief operating officer with previous executive responsibilities for more than $ 1 billion in healthcare construction over 15 years and has extensive experience in physician relationship negotiations and management of relationships between health systems and university medical schools. He is a fellow and past chairman of the American College of Health Executives (ACHE); past participant with the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship program and member of FACHE (Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives).

These five extraordinary professionals will partner on the Diagnotes Advisory Council with Dr. Snell, who is a board member of the Regenstrief Institute of Medical Informatics. Dr. Snell recently served as chief medical informatics officer for St. Vincent Health, and developed telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and other telehealth demonstration projects for St. Vincent’s parent organization, Ascension Health, the nation’s largest nonprofit healthcare system.
