Dr. James Michael Moore explores key concepts of traditional Chinese medicine in his accessible new nonfiction, “Six Strands of the Web: An In-depth Study of the Six Stages of Disease In Traditional Chinese Medicine” (published by AuthorHouse).

Traditional Chinese medicine has always viewed the progression of disease within the body as something that happens in six distinct stages. Moore outlines these six stages in an effort to guide students of traditional Chinese medicine toward a deeper understanding of how disease progresses.

Tai yang, shao yang, yang ming, tai yin, shao yin and jue vin are the names of the six various stages of disease and are an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine. “Six Strands of the Web” offers an in-depth analysis of these stages and shows that learning how they interact can help in making a proper diagnosis and accurately locating disease within the body.

“Mankind has been fighting disease since we first came into being,” Moore writes. “These concepts and treatment principles have served humanity for thousands of years and are needed yet today. The herbal formulas found within this book have been proven safe and effective and have withstood the test of time.”
