“The new Atomic Learning training course on SAMR gives examples in English, Math, Social Studies, Science, World Language, Music, Art, Phy Ed, and even Assessment,” said the training’s developer and educator Stacci Barganz. “Teachers are encouraged to watch the examples both in their own subject area(s) and in other areas, because it may spark an idea that could be useful in their own classroom situation.”

The SAMR model was developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura, and it stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition.

Barganz added “Each short video focuses on what a completed project or idea would look like, not on the “how to” of the project, and is designed to bridge the gap between technical knowledge of a tool and practical application with students in the classroom or professional use as a teacher.”
