Robert Steward, founding partner of Integra Asset Management (http://www.integra-am.com), will lead a panel discussion on innovative strategies to help minority-owned small businesses grow at the upcoming BEYA 2015 Executive Forum.

The panel discussion is part of the 29th BEYA STEM Global Competitiveness Conference being held February 5-7 in Washington, D.C. Steward will moderate a panel comprised of two top executives from World Wide Technology, Inc., the largest minority-owned corporation in the United States, according to Black Enterprise magazine. Craig Corbin, director of the Defense Information Systems Agency account, and Shay Gillespie, corporate supplier diversity manager, will discuss challenges of the current economy, supplier diversity and the importance of business partners in achieving success.

Steward was a panelist at last year’s BEYA conference, an annual program designed to broaden diversity within the country’s technical and scientific work forces. “The BEYA conference is a major endeavor with tremendous support from the Department of Defense,” Steward said. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase success and for young people to interface with large corporations and the various armed services, which actively participate in the event each year.”

BEYA STEM recognizes and promotes advancement of men and women who are pursuing and sustaining science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) based careers. Conference participants come from a broad cross-section of occupations such as government professionals and corporate executives, K-12 students, teachers and professors, and college students. This year’s event will be hosted by US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine, the Council of Engineering Deans of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and Lockheed Martin Corporation. Aerotek will sponsor the event, which will be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
