Richardson, TX (PRWEB) July 24, 2014

KDC Real Estate Development (KDC) recently selected Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) to provide Construction Management and MEP Design Build services for Raytheon’s new state-of-the-art office complex to be built at the CityLine development in Richardson, Texas.

The project kick off was officially marked with a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, July 21, yet construction has been underway since June. Earthwork is nearing completion with foundations and utilities set to begin over the next week.

Raytheon will occupy 489,000 square feet in three buildings located near the intersection of President George Bush Turnpike and North Central Expressway (US 75).

The project, designed by HKS Architects, includes two 3-story buildings at approximately 146,000 square feet each, one 4-story building at approximately 193,000 square feet, and one single-story building at approximately 4,000 square feet.

A program will be implemented to target certification for LEED Core and Shell for this project.

Adolfson & Peterson recently partnered with KDC as the construction manager for the site, shell and tenant improvement work associated with the NBC 5 Studios at CentrePort, which was completed ahead of schedule in September of 2014.

“We welcomed the opportunity to bring Adolfson & Peterson Construction on board to work on such an important project as Raytheon,” said Steve Van Amburgh, CEO of KDC. “We know that the company mirrors our values when it comes to quality and service, making it the ideal choice to build Raytheon’s new corporate campus.”

“Adolfson & Peterson is delighted to be partnering with KDC once again on this important project,” said Corbett Nichter, Senior Vice President with Adolfson & Peterson Construction. “As KDC Real Estate Development and all of our clients have come to expect, A&P will deliver best-in-class construction services while effectively managing the project’s critical success factors of schedule, budget, safety and quality.”

The project broke ground in June 2014 with substantial completion scheduled for June 2015.
