Miami, FL (PRWEB) January 29, 2015

e-Libro, a central solution for essential Spanish Language ebooks, today announced its major growth and achievements in 2014. The company has launched 5 new Spanish Language ebook collections tailored to the specific needs of U.S. research libraries in subjects including Political Science, History, and Literature. E-libro also created new subscription collections for Public Libraries and Community Colleges. These new collections — along with more than 70,000 quality titles that can be purchased outright or through patron driven acquisition — are now available on the EBSCO and ProQuest ebrary platforms and can be purchased on either platform through YBP. As well as these major academic platforms, e-Libro collections are available on the innovative new Biblioboard platform.

Furthermore, usage of e-Libro titles increased by more than 100% percent in 2014 over the previous year, and the company has achieved a 50% growth in its U.S. customer base.

“With the rising number of Spanish speaking library patrons and students and the importance of Latin American studies in the U.S., e-Libro is emerging as an integral partner for U.S. libraries,” says Felipe Varela, CEO of e-Libro. “Our newly established partnerships offer something these libraries haven’t had before—a reliable partner that provides ebooks from Latin America and allows for integration of these purchases with those of English language books through their preferred vendors and platforms. Our extensive content and advanced platform functionality make the discovery and management of Latin American collections easier than it has ever been before.”

Additionally, in 2014, e-Libro signed more than 55 new publishers including McGraw-Hill, Pearson, and Cengage, who are distributing textbooks to e-Libro’s extensive customer base in Latin America. Academic publishing powerhouses Fondo Cultura Economica and Porrua will soon distributing their essential Spanish Language content to e-Libro customers worldwide.
