Surprisingly that was quite inspiring!
I hate that some people think of mathematics as very ugly chicken scratch;
however, I learned that if you take the time to look into the seemingly
illegible gibberish, you find perhaps the most beautiful things about the
world. Mathematics is as artistic and aesthetic as it is analytically
punctilious. I am absolutely in love with mathematics and the aesthetic
beauty of it.

OK. I listened to the whole show. Marcus du Sautoy talks exactly about what
I was trying to say in the preceding two comments in the last few minutes
of his documentary. But ironically he is still not able to give complete
credit to Indian math and attributes significant influences from Greece and
China and he is guilty of the same prejudice although to a much lesser
extent than his predecessors. This is the curse of living in a world where
everything in English becomes the ultimate truth.
Historically, Hindus had spent most of their time in slavery (particularly
during last 3000 years), whether under Persian occupation or Greek, Muslim
or British occupation. The reason is their stupid, intolerant and fascist
ideology and inhuman treatment even with their own low cast Hindu fellows
(Dillat, Shudar, Maleech, …etc etc). Before Islam, India had never been a
sovereign united country except in the times of Ashoka (who had also
converted to Buddhism after massacre & genocide of Kalinga) . That slavery

is astounding! He goes on and on with such confident narration. Are all his
sources 18th century conjectures from self superior pompous prejudiced
historians with poor understanding of Sanskrit or Indian culture? This is

Hinduism is laughable, based on fabricated, irrational and illogical
stories and myths. The same is true for this laughable stupid video.
Muslims could have easily wiped off Hinduism from subcontinent during their
1000 years rule as Hindus had eradicated Buddhism from India before
invasion of Muslims. But Muslims had not adopted that brutal way because
Islam is religion of peace, justice and equality. That is why Hindus
remained in majority even after 1000 years of Muslim rules.

This is a pretty terrible documentary! Buddhism had the idea of Shunya and
it predates the 300CE by 700 years! How ridiculous is this British Colonial
