KUBA Ka Empire revealed that it will be teaming up with renowned Italian fashion house Versace to design the first ever Pop Superhero costume for its rising music artist KUBA Ka, making him the first male pop singer since the 90’s to partner with the high-end designer for a custom Versace get-up. The costume collaboration comes in preparation for the singer’s debut album in the United States and is based on the teams vision of creating a musically inclined comic book hero with attire designed by a top fashion house.

“This is a natural partnership,” said KUBA. “I began my music career for the first time in the U.S. with the late Frank Dileo, who as you know was Michael Jackson’s manager for many years. Frank had a strong relationship with Gianni Versace who Michael personally requested to design the outfits for his History World Tour back in ’96. You can’t go wrong following in the footsteps of a Pop giant like Michael. We definitely have a crazy chemistry with Donatella and her team and hope to bring our vision to fans all around the world.” The enthusiastic entertainer added “I’ve always loved Versace and the Versace lifestyle, since I was a little kid being raised partly in Italy. It’s imperial, with all the fantasy that it takes you on. I couldn’t be more happy and excited to now have my very own custom look by this fashion Empire.”

The unveiling of the Versace design for the performer took place at the Five Star Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills earlier this month in front of a packed audience of entertainment executives and fans. The striking black and gold costume is designed using black alligator leather with gold plated metal trimmings bearing the signature Versace Medusa on the front armor chest plate and back. The Baroque print abs was created using a real sculpture of KUBA’s abs to keep the costume consistent with the singer’s athletic build. This one of a kind custom Versace design took approximately five months to prepare and manufacture, and will be the most expensive stage costume worn by any Pop artist in present times.

KUBA Ka joins a long list of celebrities to work with the House of Versace on tour outfits. Beyoncé, Elton John, Tupac Shakur, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Axl Rose are among some of the popular acts to employ the fashion expertise of the internationally acclaimed Italian designer for their road shows.
