Available at http://playabilitytoys.com/apps.html, the app teaches basic financial literacy, and later versions will include unique personalization features to make learning engaging and fun.

Designed to step a child through basic “change counting” exercises, Pigsy is not only targeted to the autistic/special needs community, but will be unique in its personalization for the child. It will feature a section for the parent or teacher to input personalized information, such as name of their school, pets, street they live on, child’s name, and favorite color. 

For example, the Pigsy “Piggy Bank” asks for a certain amount of money. Then the child will be required to drag and drop different coins to the piggy bank with animation to tell the child if they got the correct answer.

Added Small, “It has been shown that children are more likely to engage longer in an educational exercise when the content is familiar to them. By including the personalized details to the ‘story line’ of Pigsy, children are engaged longer, enjoy the game more, and therefore reap the educational benefits of practicing basic financial literacy.”
