With more than 20 years of human resources experience, Hurley was most recently a Vice President of Human Resources for a blood bank. Prior to her entry into the healthcare field, she was a Vice President of Human Resources for an international communications company where she had responsibility for more than 11,000 employees in 22 countries. She has also held human resources positions with Nickelodeon and Goldman Sachs.

Hurley holds a Bachelor of the Arts in economics and a Master of the Arts in organizational management. She is also an active board member with a local Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter.
