New York, NY (PRWEB) May 04, 2015

On Thursday, May 14, 2015, Dr. David Borenstein of the New York Stem Cell Treatment Center at Manhattan Integrative Medicine will host a seminar on the use of adult stem cells — also known as adult adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) — for various degenerative and inflammatory conditions. Information about the event – which is open to the public at no cost – is online at http://blog.davidborensteinmd.com/stem-cell-treatments-seminar-nyc/

This promising approach, which involves harvesting one’s own stem cells from fat tissue obtained during an outpatient mini-liposuction, is being studied for a number of degenerative, inflammatory, immune and pain-related conditions.

The seminar will be held at the NYC Seminar and Conference Center at 71 W 23rd St. (at 6th Avenue), on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.

Adult stem cells are the body’s natural healing cells – damaged tissues send out chemical signals to recruit these stem cells to help repair and regenerate the body’s injured cells. Important note: The New York Stem Cell Treatment Center only uses “Adult Autologous Stem Cells” — stem cell’s from an adult’s own fat. No embryonic, fetal, or bone marrow stem cells are used.

The current areas of study for adult stem cells include:

Degenerative Orthopedic Joint Conditions (Knee, Shoulder, Hip, Spine)
Emphysema
COPD
Asthma
Heart Failure
Heart Attack
Parkinson’s Disease
Stroke
Traumatic Brain Injury
Lou Gehrig’s Disease
Multiple Sclerosis
Lupus
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Crohn’s Disease
Muscular Dystrophy
Inflammatory Myopathies

ABOUT ADSC’S

The New York Stem Cell Treatment Center at Manhattan Integrative Medicine abides by approved investigational protocols using adult adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs), which can be deployed to improve patients’ quality of life for a number of chronic, degenerative and inflammatory conditions and diseases. ADSCs are taken from the patient’s own adipose (fat) tissue, found within a cellular mixture called stromal vascular fraction, or SVF.

ADSCs are exceptionally abundant in adipose tissue. The adipose tissue is obtained from the patient during a 15 minute mini-liposuction, performed under local anesthesia in the doctor’s office. SVF is a protein-rich solution containing mononuclear cell lines (predominantly adult autologous mesenchymal stem cells), macrophage cells, endothelial cells, red blood cells, and important Growth Factors that facilitate the stem cell process and promote their activity.
